Are you a business interested in contracting opportunities with the Department of Veterans Affairs? Join the Florida APEX Accelerator at the University of Central Florida and the Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization (VA OSDBU) for “Unlocking VA Government Contracting with the Florida APEX Accelerator,” May 13th at the National Entrepreneur Center in Orlando at 8:30 a.m. EST.

Panelists for this open discussion will include:

  • Anna Urman, Director of Strategic Outreach and Communication for the Veterans Affairs Office of Small & Disadvantaged Business Utilization
  • Jessica Tenney, Program Manager for the Florida APEX Accelerator
  • Tina Berry, Regional Veterans Affairs Small Business Liaison Officer
  • Ed Ramos, Area Manager for the Small Business Administration

Attendees will gain insight about the VA’s acquisitions, opportunities, small business goals, and best practices when selling to the Department. There will also be discussions on how the Small Business Administration (SBA) can help small businesses find the resources they need to succeed and grow their businesses. This will serve as an opportunity to learn more about the Florida APEX Accelerator Program and how government contracting consultants can help small businesses identify, compete for, and win government contracts

Most small businesses could use the added capacity to be gained from a mentor-protégé relationship. The SBA Mentor Protégé programs can help them do that.
